Since I was little, I dreamed about my wedding day and wearing a ring that would symbolize my love in a personal and unique way—just like the handcrafted gold ring my grandpa made for my mom when my dad proposed. When my boyfriend and I began looking for rings, I quickly grew disappointed with the traditional store experience. The options felt limited, prices were high, and the sales approach felt impersonal.     Steps:

    1. Cut a piece of string, floss, thin strip of paper or whatever you can find to at least 3 inches long

    2. Wrap string or whatever you used around the base of the intended finger

    3. Lay the string flat and use a ruler to measure the length between the end and your mark

    4. Refer to this ring size chart to match the length to the corresponding ring size
